How do I know if my order has been received?

You will receive a confirmation email as soon as we receive your order. If you do not receive it within minutes, check your spam folder. If the problem persists, email us at info@barbologiste.ca with your name, phone number, and items ordered.

What are the delivery times?

Your order will be delivered within 3 to 5 business days. A tracking number will be sent to you by email upon shipment. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

What makes your products different?

All our products are handcrafted by the Barbologiste. They are the result of many years of testing and development. The ingredients are all certified organic and natural.

Barbologiste products are the result of artisanal know-how that has become an art.

Our products may show slight variations in color, texture, or scent from one batch to another. These variations are normal and reflect the artisanal authenticity of each product.

Are your products tested on animals?

Never, but all products have been tested on the Barbologiste!  

What is beard oil and what is it used for?

Made from a blend of organic vegetable oils (argan, jojoba, sweet almond, etc.) and essential oils, beard oil primarily targets the skin of the face: it deeply moisturizes it, relieves itching and dryness, and makes the beard softer and silkier.

What is beard balm and how does it differ from oil?

Balm contains the same organic oils as beard oil, but beeswax and natural butters are added. This gives it a solid texture that melts upon contact with the hands. While oil targets the skin, balm acts more on the hairs: it moisturizes them, protects them, and helps keep the beard in place, thus maintaining a neat appearance.

Can oil and balm be used together?

It's an ideal combination! First, apply a small amount of oil to moisturize the skin and let it absorb for a few moments. Then apply the balm to protect the hairs and sculpt your beard. The two products complement each other perfectly.

What is the difference between beard shampoo and regular shampoo?

Regular shampoo is designed for hair and scalp: it is often too harsh for facial skin and can dry out your beard. Our beard shampoo is specially formulated with mild, organic ingredients to clean deeply while preserving the natural hydration of your beard hair and the skin underneath.

Like natural peanut butter, our Shampoo may separate after some time. This is completely normal. To aid in beard hydration, oils are added after saponification.

Can I use your products on a short beard?

Absolutely! Beard oil is particularly beneficial from the first days of growth, as this is often when itching and dryness occur.

In addition to comfort, a daily massage will stimulate blood flow to the face and beard to promote more even and faster growth.

It is not recommended to use balm on a several-day-old beard.

How long does a bottle of oil last?

With daily use, a bottle of oil (60 ml) generally lasts between 2 and 3 months depending on the length of your beard. A few drops of oil are sufficient for each application.

How long does a container of balm last?

With daily use, a container of balm (54 g) generally lasts between 4 and 8 weeks depending on the length of your beard. A small amount of balm is sufficient for each application.

What if the texture of my balm is grainy?

This is a natural reaction of shea butter and beeswax. Small crystals may form in the mixture. They do not affect the quality of the product and melt when the balm warms up in your hands.

Our product range is offered in 4 distinct fragrances that are suitable for all occasions.

How do I choose the right fragrance for me?

It all depends on your taste! Here's a quick guide:

• Looking for freshness and nature? Choose Papa Camping with its notes of pine, orange, and eucalyptus.

• Prefer relaxation at the spa center? Papa Relax, with its notes of orange and eucalyptus will delight you.

• Do you like the cleanliness of laundry drying in the sun? Papa Fraîcheur will charm you with its aromas of bergamot, lavender, and a hint of peppermint.

• Looking for a masculine and spicy scent? Papa Chic with Ylang Ylang and cinnamon will not disappoint.

What ingredients do you use?

All our ingredients are certified organic. Our formulations contain precious oils such as jojoba, sweet almond, castor oil and are enriched with vitamin E. Our balms include coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax and natural butters. Each ingredient is chosen for its usefulness and nourishing properties.

Do your products contain allergens?

Our products contain nut oils (argan, coconut, sweet almond), beeswax (in balms) as well as fragrances. If you have known allergies, consult the full list of ingredients on each product's description or contact us before purchasing.

For transparency, Barbologiste does not hide any ingredient behind a generic name such as perfume or fragrance.

Why does the color or texture of my product vary from batch to batch?

Our products are entirely natural and made without chemical stabilizers. Slight variations in color, texture, or scent from one batch to another are therefore normal and reflect the authenticity of our ingredients. The quality and effectiveness of the product remain identical.

Why do I not recognize certain ingredients on your ingredient lists?

Our ingredient lists comply with Health Canada standards and conform to the appellations of the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. It could therefore be a Latin appellation for a common product. For example, Simmondsia Chinensis is the recognized name for Jojoba oil.

The Barbologiste also specifically indicates the presence of certain allergens that come from our essential oils. These compounds are usually terpenes that are not added to the products but are naturally present due to the formulation of our fragrances. For example, limonene is a natural organic compound from the monoterpene family and is present in large quantities in citrus peels. Our fragrances using orange essential oil will therefore list limonene in the ingredient list.

Absolutely. The confidentiality of your information is paramount to us. Your personal data will never be shared with third parties. We comply with Law 25 on the protection of personal information and are committed to protecting your privacy.
